A/N: For the June!Challenge Day 25.
He didn’t speak, merely sat down beside me and handed me a steaming mug. He didn’t comment about the tears streaming down my cheeks, but there was nothing really to say. His eyes were red rimmed, too.
There wasn’t much to say really. The world had nearly ended. It hadn’t because of her, because of her sacrifice. Funny, though. It felt like it had ended. It felt like the world should be crying as much as we were. It should mourn the death of the woman who had saved it. Again.
We mourned. I mourned. Even the vampire next to me mourned.
He mourned my sister so much that he brought me hot chocolate.
I drank it in silence, in between wiping the tears off my face. He sat next to me the whole night and only the dawn drove us inside.
I left the mug on the porch for a week before I washed it.
