RECATHON: Leverage
I'm sorry I'm late. *SOMEBODY* decided to steal themselves a Recathon post. Luckily, you know it isn't me, because they left their marks all over it.

A few notes:
1. Some of the links may lead to off LJ sites.
2. Each reader is responsible for double checking warnings on the story itself. It is not my job, nor the job of anyone else, to make sure you’re aware of the contents of the story.
3. I encourage you all to leave feedback for the authors! Feed the authors and they will continue to feed us.
4. This would not have happened if it were not for the generous help of many, many people. In particular, I would like to thank
windiaian for making the lovely banner above,
hanyhunter for helping to advertise and for coding the recs list.
5. If you encounter any mistakes, please drop me a note in the comments and I’ll do my best to fix it quickly.
6. Fics with multiple recs are indicated with an *.
7. Lastly, feel free to squee in the comments if you’re so inclined.

annerbhp wrote The Chainsaw Job. PG. Eliot POV, smidge of Hardison/Parker. When the world is overtaken by zombies, there's only one possible reaction: Con the zombie lord. Just when you think this author could offer up nothing more awesome than Parker decapitating a zombie with an ax, annerbhp gives us Parker + Flamethrower.
brown-betty wrote:
The Underwire Job. PG-13. Eliot, Parker/Hardison. Parker ropes Eliot into helping her seduce Hardison. Hijinks ensue!
The Cat-Burglar Job. PG-13. the entire team, background Parker/Hardison. KITTENS! Parker has kittens. This is awesome.
chash at longsufferingly wrote still wearing my slippers (and eat all the candies at home). G. Alec/Parker. This is an incredibly sweet fic that still manages to bring the banter. "You eat fortune cookies for breakfast," he says. "Someone's gotta take care of you."
cjmarlowe wrote:
Untitled. Adult. Alec/Eliot/Parker. This is a hot-like-burning little OT3 PWP (with pegging!) that packs an impressive punch. It’s smolderingly sexy and has wonderful voices. "You don't need diagrams for sex, Parker," he said, but then he hadn't seen her diagrams. They were very detailed.
Uncharted Territory. NC-17. Alec/Parker. The banter is sharp, the sex is sizzling, and the characters are adorable. "That?" said Hardison, twisting around to yank the sheet back up his body like she'd just suggested he sever a body part, "is not on the list."
danse_amore wrote Steampunk!Leverage. PG-13. team, Eliot/Nate. Ficlet series in a steampunk AU with Victorian awesomeness combined with Leverage team awesomeness.

dotfic wrote:
Petty Larceny. PG. Parker, Hardison. Totally adorable and in character Parker and Hardison, set before "The Bank Job". They're bored. And there's pie.
Catch Me If You Can PG. Parker/Hardison. The only way Hardison will catch Parker is if she leaves him clues. Lovely and sweet.
entangled_now wrote:
Princess. PG-13. Team fic. There are times when you really just need to sit back and read about the leverage team being their wacky and wonderful selves. This fic is set on a day when they don't have a job to do and are hanging around Nate's apartment. Madness, discussion of cannibalistic ballerinas, the girls picturing Eliot in a leotard, and Sophie's thoughts on Dom!Nate/Sub!Eliot ensue. It's crazy and fun and very well written.
Platform 4. PG. Ensemble. Brilliant illustration of the team dynamic.

It’s a Long Way to Zanzibar. Mature Adult. Alec/Eliot/Parker. This utterly fabulous fic sends my favourite OT3 on a road trip together to the Grand Canyon. The banter and antics are wonderful and perfectly in character, but I especially love that the author does not shy away from depicting the awkwardness and uncertainty of embarking on a poly relationship. Sweet and hot and funny; a joy to read.
Sweet Time. NC-17?. Eliot/Hardison. Oh, this one is beautiful. Slightly OOC in my opinion, as my Hardison would not have reacted so overtly, but since the author leaves the big Thing that happens off-screen up to us, who knows what it was. I'm sure there are things that would put my Hardison off his game. And the way Eliot smoothes away his temper makes any sort of twiggy moments worth it for me. Exerpt: Hardison laughed, and the tension in him just dissolved, and he collapsed back onto the bed, gangling limbs all sprawled out without a hint of self consciousness.
Three Player Game. Adult. Alec/Eliot/Parker. A wonderful little light-hearted OT3 bondage fic. Playful, adorable, and sexy. "Parker feels you might be a bit too much of a take charge kind of guy in, ah, certain interpersonal situations." / "Parker feels?" Eliot said.
hackthis wrote Faint Heart Never Won Fair Lady. PG-13. Parker/Maggie, Eliot/Hardison. I liked to die laughing at everyone at one point or another. Parker. Gloriously Parker. And Eliot and Hardison are also ridiculously in character, AND having sex off camera. And Nate's great. My only sadness is that Sophie wasn't there more. What little there was was perfectly Sophie: not really knocked off course by anything, and the only one with the balls to handle Nate.
havenward wrote The hell with propriety. PG. Nate/Eliot. Nate/Eliot deliciousness in a steampunk AU.
ijemanja wrote The Joy of Cooking. teen. Eliot + the rest of the team. It's hilarious, the way the team tries to help Eliot cook. Possibly, Eliot does not find this as amusing. Or helpful.
Katty, aka merry_gentry wrote Golden Eyes. 15/R. Nate/Eliot. This is the second of her Golden Eyes 'verse with werewolf!Eliot, but it is a perfect place to start. The writing is beautiful, provoking, and emotional. The rest of the fics weave along the tv series and Nate and Eliot's relationship progresses.
maab_connor wrote Bryant Park. PG-13. Eliot/Parker/Nate. AU with the Leverage team as fashion designers on Project Runway. Funny, but not a crackfic - believeable characterizations that are sweet and perfect.
malaga wrote Categories. PG. Hardison, mentions Hardison/Eliot. I really love what Malaga does with Hardison's head-space. I love what we get of their lives through Hardison's thoughts. I thought this was short, sweet, and altogether very nice.
merle_p wrote:
Making Your Bed in the Prison of Your Mind. R. Nate/Eliot. Because Eliot's voice is so dry and circumspect, it's a perfect look inside his head.
Loving Eliot. R. Eliot/Hardison, guest appearance by Parker. And angry Texans. The alternate title is "Love story in five (country) rock songs". It is a fabulous look at the growth of a relationship, and how it can be fun and silly and sometimes it isn't at all.
*Not all princes turn into pumpkins at midnight, baby. R. Eliot/Hardison, team fic. 1. AHAHA. Actually, after the initial hysterical fit wore off, I realized that Aldis Hodge would make an incredibly elegant drag queen. The entire team gets a cameo on this one, with the spotlight on my boy Hardison. This was entirely shameless, and I heartily approve. Also, Elmer. Elmer. 2. Because there should more cross-dressing fic in this fandom! Alec goes undercover for a job and Eliot gets jealous. Hot and fun and sweet.
Robinyj wrote:
Code Blue. PG-13. Teamfic, mostly Eliot. It's a bigbang revenge!fic with glimpses into Eliot's past. There's a con, kidnappings, rescues, and fantastic general team interactions.
Eliot Fights a Bear. PG-13. Eliot & Hardison. see title. Also, the writing is fabulous. I would believe this could be in an episode.
Falling for the first time. PG-13. Eliot & Hardison, Nate at the end. These are definitely boys. I love the awkward not talking after Eliot does his thing. I love the arguing in the beginning. I love the talking while Hardison does HIS thing. It's hard to describe without spoiling, but really, I highly recommend this fic to anyone who enjoys Hardison and Eliot being themselves. Also, Nate at the end is Nate from the show. He's reluctantly involved in all of this nonsense, but he needs them. And he's also an evil mastermind.
Sapphire Smoke, cuzimastripper wrote Firsts. NC-17. Eliot/Hardison. This story is Eliot's POV, and it's appropriately named Firsts because it really is all about the first times in Eliot and Hardison's relationship, and it isn't always easy. Damn, these boys are fun.
shannonrita wrote Hands. PG. Hardison & Eliot. Awww. If you haven't read this, go now. So very sweet. Hardison wooing Eliot in his own special way. And I have to agree that hands can be very nice, so...definitely a win for me.

theleaveswant aka shamusandstone wrote Soft Limit. PG. Alec, Eliot. This is an absolutely fantastic fic in which Alec and Eliot have a frank discussion about their respective sexual kinks. The relationship between them is wonderful here: affectionate, comfortable and intimate while still being platonic. There should be more gen fic about kinky characters!
thingswithwings wrote strange, how we are changed. M for makeouts (author's rating). Alec/Eliot/Parker. I love the slow and gentle way this fic builds, showing-casing the way these characters have grown to care for and trust each other so much. Lovely, sweet, and evocative.
zvi wrote Parker’s Surprise. not rated. Eliot/Parker/Hardison. A perfect little snippet of OT3 love in which Parker is distressingly frank about sex. Great voices, and it manages to be both hot and adorable.

danegen made Start the Commotion. Unrated. Alec Hardison. Geek power, baby! This outstanding vid is smart, fun, and impeccably edited. Wonderful pairing of image and music, and a great song choice. Guaranteed to have you smiling your way through.
