REC: Glee
So it's been ages since I've done a recs post, and I need to get my thumb out and all... but I can't wait for this one.
Unfair by
miggy. R. 11,000 words.
I'm going to put everything else under a cut, because it deals with triggery issues which include hate crimes, gay bashing, homophobia and bullying.
Spoilers: Through Grilled Cheesus; set at some unspecified point after that
Summary: He hadn't meant to put Hummel in a coma, he hadn't meant to become a poster boy for bullying, and he definitely hadn't meant to wind up on the national news.
Notes: Written for this angst prompt. This story centers around a gaybashing incident and is from the perspective of an unremorseful offender, who interacts with the family that spawned him. Hateful language abounds. Fair warning.
I never even had the chance to finish the second part of Season 1 of Glee, so some of these characters are complete mysteries to me. But... they read like newsprint. This story is gutwrenching because it's so damn real.
Read it.
Brace yourself.
