Castle
Dollhouse
Watchmen (I've only seen the movie, but I'll be reading the book soon.)
X-men Noir (or Spiderman Noir)

Dollhouse: blank_dolls, dollhousefic, dollhouseflash, all good comms. If you check out my memories, you'll find "Dollhouse fic I love" or something to that effect. So far, I haven't seen anything much longer than 2k in the fandom, but what's there is pretty frakking good. I've also written a few myself, if you want to check them out.../self-pimp

Are there any particular characters or pairings you're interested in for Watchmen? There's a big rush of fics now, I could rec something specific so you don't have to wade through a lot of badfic.

I'm not really sure that there *are* specific pairings. I'm open to reading anything.

Jon's probably one of the most underrepresented characters in fics right now, unfortunately, but there are some excellent fics out there. I would rec all of i_am_your_spy's fics, especially her "Ordinary World" series. orangesparks has written some very good fics about rarer pairings and characters.

As for comms, there's:

...and probably more I'm forgetting. (I'd personally recommend starting backwards in the archives and then working forwards...a lot of the post-movie release output is not good.) I'm working on a more comprehensive recs list that I hope to have up in the near future. (And it should be noted that most fics are bookverse.) Hope that helps!

The Watchmen fandom is currently a bit of a vole pit. I'm struggling to find really good fic. weekly_watchmen does have some promise, I think. There's also watchdom which is a catch-all community, and there's newfrontiersmen which is a l33t invitation-only community which is thus far rather lacking in fic, but if it picks up should at least have the benefit of quality control.

I'd love to see some Spider-man Noir fic. That was a fascinating universe. In fact, my muses may have to mull that over...:D

Have you read My Body is a Cage by conceptofzero? It's genderswapped Rorschach that doesn't compromise the character in the least. It's dark, but very good.
