The first set of recs for you guys! (T:SCC was the other winner! And those will be up later today. :)

Mind Over Matter by [livejournal.com profile] npkedit. House/X-men. I have a weakness for good House crossovers, and House/X-men is one of my favorites there. This is set after X-2. The mutant telepathic attack on the world's population in X-Men: United has some unusual repercussions at Princeton-Plainsboro.

A Chase-centric story, about what it means to discover things about yourself you never knew and embracing who you are, even when it's hard. This story had fantastic House characterization, and all of the characters come to life under [livejournal.com profile] npkedit's skill. I loved this one. I hope you guys do, too.

Playing Doctors (or: five medical show crossovers that never happened) by [livejournal.com profile] roga. Grey's Anatomy/ER, Grey's/Scrubs, Scrubs/House, House/Grey's, and Scrubs/House. This fic is actually five mini-fics! Even better, right? *grins*

They are all excellent and it manages to take the things about medical dramas that are common across the board and make them gel in a universe where this could actually happen.

Pirate!Dean Series by [livejournal.com profile] the_mad_fangirl. Supernatural/Pirates of the Caribbean/Transformers. Why yes, I am aware of how much crack that sounds like. Trust me, this series is so well done that it's unbelievable. I have love for it. So much love. *lol*

The thing is - it's a series of connected one shots, rather than a multipart fic. I've linked to the most recent one. You'll have to click on the links in the page to get you to the beginning. And you should read them in order!

Wacky Rooftop Hijinks by [livejournal.com profile] booster17. Torchwood/Batman. This is utterly hysterical! I read this before I had much knowledge of Torchwood, because I saw it recc'd and it seemed funny. It was! It's not often that BATMAN meets someone that frustrates him to no end and there isn't much he can do about it.

Plus, it has this line: Gordon was still dazed and confused ten minutes later. This was certainly not how he was used to these… “consultations”… going. There was a sort of rhythm to them – Batman would show up, Gordon would unveil the latest threat/clue/odd occurrence, Batman’s jaw would clench and he’d disappear from the rooftop whenever Gordon wasn’t looking directly at him.

Jack Harkness had brought cakes.

London Calling by [livejournal.com profile] joonscribble. Dresden Files/Good Omens. If you're a fan of either of these series, then you can read this without much difficulty. If you're a fan of both, then this is gold. Solid gold!

This is the first in a four part series. The links are there for all four parts!
I started reading this last night. I've had the TPB for about two weeks, but I finally found time (should have been sleeping, but eh...) and I'm so glad I did!

I had to leave the team in a very tense place. Read more... )

Anyway, I'm enjoying and will probably finish the first TPB tonight. :)
As promised, five T:SCC fics to entertain you! Although, most of you have probably read all of them already anyway. Still, they are made of awesome and deserve to be recced. :)

*************

Fractures by [livejournal.com profile] tja_rama. This is a fantastic look at the dangers of playing with time travel. John Connor is the only constant he knows and even he changes more than he knows. This fic is slightly creepy in it's implications, and wholly excellent in its execution.

*****

Reese Boys by [livejournal.com profile] indiefic. This is heartbreaking, but beautiful and really gets into Derek Reese's head. The world changes more and more every day for this man, and he's doing his best to hold it all together.

*****

Fewer Than You Think by [livejournal.com profile] danahid. This fic was breathtakingly gorgeous. I cannot express how well done it was. It's hard to become the savior of the world.

*****

Deutero by [livejournal.com profile] the_grynne. Terminators are machines made efficient killers because they learn. This is a creepy, but fascinating look at how Cameron learned to be Cameron. And, how, along the way, she saw others learning to be themselves, too.

*****

(I Want You To) Trouble Me by [livejournal.com profile] paradise_city. John Connor wasn't always the man who saved the world. Sometimes he was an insomniac, a student, an ass, a nephew, and a boy who didn't know how to drive a stick shift. This is a great John Connor-centric fic.

Okay! That wraps up the recs for this week! Onward to next week. :)
