Construction Zone

This year has just not been good to me. I've not had any time in the past... oh, month, to write and November was dedicated to Nano.

Serves me right, I'm sure, for something.

That all said, I thought through my story and with the help of a friend, roughed out a full plot. I'm 3,150 words into the story and I'm pretty sure it'll top out by 5,000.

That said, is anyone around to do a fast and dirty beta for me tomorrow? I'm 99% sure only one of you is familiar with the fandom, though, so grammar is fine. Besides that, I've gotten so far off the canon grid into speculation and with a character that's fairly minor that I'm not sure even someone familiar with teh canon could tell me if I'm OOC... *frets*

I hope my recipient likes this! I feel like I'm failing her. *fails*

Anyway, if you'll read it for me, can you leave me your email? I'll send it to you early in the morning and I have to post by about 5, due to commitments tomorrow, so a quick return will be necessary.

Okay, so I have absolutely no idea how this happened, by my version of Agent Brand has turned into a somewhat terrifying combination of me, when I'm working, and Rahm Emanuel.

I kind of love her.

Also, if anyone is interested in cheerleading/beta reading, this fic is going to get longer than I anticipated. It's already sitting at 3K and is about 1/5 of the way through. Help?

(Also, a good knowledge of Brand in particular, Astonishing X-men, and general Nick Fury/SHIELD would help...)

Is "skin job" a BSG term for a Cylon? Or is it a T:SCC job for a humanoid Terminator?

Is anyone up for a quickie T:SCC beta? The fic is about 1000 words long and John Connor and Kyle Reese centric. I need a cannon fact checker as well as someone to point out my messed up comma splices. :)

In addition to the Burn Notice fic (and, I promise it's not that bad? does that help?), I now need a beta to help with a crossover fic that's about 1000ish words (or will be when I finish).

It's T:SCC/BN (yeah, I have issues) and I totally blame musesinspire for this one! I could use some help with fact checking for T:SCC. I'm pretty comfortable with the BN aspects.

I am so over work today. I got nothing accomplished. My boss tomorrow is going to be all "What did you get done today?" and my best answer is going to be... "Ummm, I didn't piss anyone off?" which of course will make sure that tomorrow the first thing I do is piss someone off.

I'm just bummed because it looks like my beach trip this weekend is falling through. Which is actually okay, because I need to do things of a productive nature (like work), but still. Gah.

I'm looking for a beta for two different fics (two different betas are fine!).

The first one, which is short and done and in need of a critical eye to suggest improvements is in the Tin Man fandom. It's Cain/Adora centric.

The second one is my lgbtfest fic which has taken on a mind of its own and I could use someone willing to help me lay out the rest of the plot. I need to bounce some ideas around. I ended up taking an extension because it just wasn't working for me... Oh, and it's Torchwood and Gwen-centric.
