We all know each other. Some better than others. Sometimes, posts don't say everything about us. Sometimes we wonder if it would be rude to ask a personal question, so we don't. Is there anything about me you want to ask? This is your chance to ask me anything about me/my life. You can be as personal as you like, but I reserve the right to not answer a question; if that is the case, you can ask another question.

haruka asked me this question. For this one, I must use pics. I also have to say this was really hard to narrow down and I decided that I should use more than one character from any given anime to broaden the spectrum.

1. By far my most favorite anime character ever - and I'm sure anyone who knows me isn't surprised - Yagami Light from Death Note.



I absolutely got sucked into this story. It was the single best thing I read in all of 2007 and one of the best things I've read in my entire life. The story was filled with twists and intrigue and the characters were so fucking complex.

2. Son Gohan from Dragon Ball Z. This kid is the reason I started watching anime. He's the reason I started buying stuff from Ebay and he's the reason I signed up on Netflix. He brought me hardcore into fandom and he remains, always and forever, one of my absolute favorite characters.



I watched all 300 something episdoes of DB, DBZ, DBGT and anything I can find. I devoured fanfiction, wrote it myself, and never ever outgrew him. He was a wimpy, ridiculous, frightened kid who was afraid of everything and stood up to it anyway. He did it to make his father proud. He did it to make his mentor proud.



In the end, the whole series became utterly ridiculous, but the Cell Saga remains one of my all time ever favorite stories. Evil v. innocence. And the cost of it was high, for everyone. I loved that it didn't downplay that.



3. Sohma Kyo from Fruits Basket. I'll confess. I debated for a while here between him and Sohma Hatsuharu. I love them both, but I finally came down on the side of Kyo. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what I love about him, though. He's fiesty and fiery and very often completely wrong. But he's also genuine.

4. Otanashi Saya from Blood +. Finally, a girl character that I could really sink my teeth into. She starts out sweet and innocent and soon enough it is revealed that all is not as is believed.

5. Shimada Kambei from Samurai 7. This is the picture that drew me in:



The art work from this anime was incredible. All of the characters were very distinct, but something about the way Kambei was drawn really appealed to me. The character appealed to me as well. He was calm and unexciteable. He had a distinct honor that he never breeched. He knew what he asked of his friends, knew that it was unlikely that they would all survive, and allowed them to make their own decisions.



Kambei also really knew who he was. The time period put him on the brink of extinction, but he never wavered from what he thought he should be, especially when it was hard. This whole story kept me riveted on the edge of my seat.

I give up. I clearly have no inner romantic whatsoever. It has taken me DAYS to come up with 11 possible combinations. Rather than give myself more heart palpitations, I will present you with these quotes. And quite honestly, I will be amazed if people get more than a few of these correct... I was really scraping to find ships that I support with any sort of cannon. (No crossovers here.)

ETA: Clues! 1. A really old movie (1980) with a stunningly gorgeous soundtrack.
2 and 3 are manga. 3 is an OTP that I've written about extensively. 7 is absolute crack and this pretty much is the entire basis of an OTP that at least a half dozen of you know that I have. 8 is plainly obvious. No, really. 11 is an old tv show that oozes romance so much that it even makes reading poetry sexy. The gentleman who reads it has a very awesome voice. Just ask any of the Teen Titans.

Here are her questions:

1. If you could meet one person/group of people from your F-list, who would it be and why?

TOO HARD. Honestly, I would really love to meet any/all of my flist in person. I still hope to plan an flist vacation, where I just drive around and meet as many people as possible. I've also been really lucky in that I've met quite a few of you wonderful folk (and none of you have been axe murderers!).

I suppose in short term plans, I kinda still hope to go to the Kansas City BBQ thingie this year and meet escritoireazul.


2. Who would you love to go to trial against and why?

Hmmm. This is a good question. I don't have a particular person that I'd like to go to trial against, although I wouldn't mind kicking either of my former bosses' asses in a trial. I would, however, love to do something that I thought mattered and make a difference.

Oh, and there is a guy that I loathe from my years practicing law. He's a complete prick, dirty and nasty and everything that people hate about lawyers. I would LOVE to kick his butt (again) since I did once already. :D


3. What is your favorite fic that you have written FOR SOMEONE ELSE and what was THEIR reaction to it when you posted it?

Ohhh. Well, that's hard. I think that my favorite fic I wrote for someone else may be Things that Go Bump in the Night for windiain. He loved it! I also really enjoyed your reaction to Carnivales of Rust and I was and still am very proud of that fic, despite the fact that not many people seemed to agree. :)


4. If you were sent on a mission to Mars, what are the 5 top things you'd take with you to keep you sane during the 18+ trip there?

A bookreader loaded with enough books to keep me occupied; a laptop that somehow still let me use the internet; music - enough to try new things often; my cellphone so I could always talk to the people I loved; and, hopefully, a travel companion that wouldn't annoy me!


5. Take dogs/cats/birds/fish out of the equation... if you had to have a pet, what would it be? Why?

I've had all the pets you mentioned. I suppose realistically, I'd like an iguana or gecko, because I think they're very cute. I'd also consider something like a ferret. But, if I'm allowed to be unrealistic, I'd get a horse. :D Or, you know, a dragon.

I'd want something that had a personality... but I'm not giving up my cats! *lol*
