Can one of you very talented icon makers out there help me out? I have a pic, that's from a magazine cover, of the Being Human cast. I would very much like someone to turn it into an icon. The only problem is that there is a giant red "T" in the pic. I would like to get around this by having a giant red "O" added. No 3, as the pic makes it pretty clear.

Personally, I've not gotten much fannish accomplished in the last week or so. Although I did sort out my list of To Dos and I did sign up at ficfinishing and encourage you all to consider it. It's a very useful community, in my opinion. Very motivating.

* Rumors of Comics Big Bang abound, but nothing definitive yet. *impatiently waits*

* I need to organize my memories to include the latest Recathon posts. I need to finish reading the last of Yuletide. I need to make more crack_van recs and check out and see what's going on at sequentialcrack. (And I encourage you to all consider signing up to make recs. The lists of volunteers are geting low!)

Hey guys, I can't figure this out. Does anyone know who wrote Jus Ad Bellum?

* Unknown wrote Jus Ad Bellum. Up to R. Rogue and ensemble. This is epicly long, but worth the read. You just get sucked into this world and actually feel the same things as the protagonist (Rogue), as though you were living it with her.

By popular demand, I'm reopening requests. Feel free to ask for any fandom you'd like and if I have it, I'll rec it. (If it's not a fandom you've seen here before, feel free to ask, but I may not have it, so feel free to include alternates.)

If you want to ask for crossovers, feel free, but those are harder to come by. However, I might could do it! So go for it. :D

Someone with more SHIELD (and hopefully SWORD) knowledge, I need some help.

I am trying to figure out some general facts about Brand, plus a timeline for her employment with SHIELD/SWORD, promotion to director of SWORD, etc.

Facts I know from the internets:

1. Brand is the commanding officer of SWORD at the time of Secret Invasion.
2. She is 28 years old at the time of Secret Invasion.
3. She doesn't much like Nick Fury, but Maria Hill (SHIELD successor director?) considers Brand a Fury loyalist.
4. Brand also doesn't much like Maria Hill.

There is basically nothing known about Brand's past except that her father was an alien.

If anyone knows of any other canon background info, it would be greatly appreciated. There may or may not be fic involved. *shifty eyes*

I've done that thing where you read a great fic and forget to bookmark it. Help me?

I'm looking for a Watchmen fic about Adrien Veidt - specifically about the "BOYS" folder on his computer that tells the tale of 11 men that he met in his life and photographed.

Please help? It's driving me nuts that I didn't save it. Urg.

ETA: FOUND IT!

I've been toying with the idea of running a Marvel Movies-verse Crossover Ficathon for ages. I even did a poll on it last year and there seemed to be some interest.

So, if you think you would be interested in participating (that means writing!) in a swap ficathon which crosses over Marvel movies, could you please comment here? I'm just gauging interest at this point.

Some things I'd like to know, assuming this is your general 3 requests, 1 story 1000 word commitment type prompt of Marvel-verse crossovers, are:

1. Would you want to participate by writing?
2. When do you think this would best be held?
3. Are you interested in co-modding?

I was just curious about something.

I (obviously) have a deep and abiding love for reccing fics to you guys. I don't know if you read them, like them or care, but I get a lot of pleasure out of doing it, because every once in a while, someone leaves a comment about how much they liked something I recced and how they wouldn't have found it otherwise.

One of the best things about a ficathon, again in my opinion, is the glut of fic that comes from it. Lots and lots to read, most of it good, some of it outstanding, and a few pieces that literally take your breath away.

I don't have time to write more fic than I'm already failing to attempting to write, but I was wondering if anyone else might be interested in doing some sort of Holiday Recathon.

Let me explain, I was thinking of doing an informal poll and picking the top twelve fandoms that people read/write and then opening them up for lots and lots of reccing to take place between now and the opening of the recathon. Then, on the days agreed upon, I could reveal a master list of fics/arts/vids/anything else that people recced.

So, no work to be done other than telling me what your favorites are. I'd compile and post and we'd all get a little extra cheer and pick me up from reading fics in our favorite fandoms.

I have a vague idea of how it would work, technically, but I don't know if anyone else has interest. So, if you do have interest, could you let me know?

Also, feel free to pass this on to people and help me decide if there would be enough interest to make this something worth doing.

Finally, tell me what fandoms you'd like to see if I go through with this. For the sake of my sanity, be specific so no DCU or Marvel, but "Batman" and "X-men" are okay (you don't have to break it down to specific title).

I'm not locking this post, either, because I'd really like to know if people are interested.
