I've come to the conclusion that 20_rings is inactive. That's terribly sad, as I can't really find any other LOTR groups on LJ that have much space for non-slash elf stories.

I'm sure they're out there, and I shall keep looking, but if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

Regardless, I've decided to go ahead and proceed with my "claim" even though it hasn't been approved. I wanted to write the stories, and there's no reason why I shouldn't. I've been bitten hard by a plot bunny and one of the prompts fits perfectly. Now, I shall just have to make sure that I avoid my usual tendency to turn every short story into an epic and focus instead on the point of this story.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in betaing, let me know, as my normal beta is unavailable. :)

The story is focused on Elladan and Elrohir and will hopefully not exceed about 15 pages.

To be honest, I don't have the time (or patience) to beta someone with no grasp of grammar or Tolkien - but I know you have both.

This is the nicest compliment coming from you! As I read some of the stuff on your LJ, I realized that I've been a fan of yours for a long time! I've both seen your stories and had friends recommend them to me, knowing that I'm an elf twin fanatic. :)

Thank you so much! And I will gleefully take you up on your offer to beta. I just need you to tell me how you like to proceed? Do you want the whole thing in one go? Or do you want it in parts? Do you want to know what the plot is? Or be surprised?

And I should tell you upfront that I take criticism very well. Please be honest, as I intend to get better at writing and I need all the help I can get!
