alazysod wrote The Worst Day Since Yesterday. R. Dean/Sam. Very interesting and unique (for a fic idea, because the idea is from the movie 50 First Dates).
antiship wrote Motivational. R. Dean/Sam. I liked Sam's POV in this. It was cool to get glimpses of things he noticed about Dean. I really enjoyed the hunt they did, it was creative and fun (albeit a bit gross there, ew XD).
arrankaara wrote Re: Trick or Treat.. PG. Castiel/Dean pre-slash, Trickster. I didn't like the Trickster, but I sure did in this fic! I loved his interaction with Castiel.
ailette wrote Thursday's Child. G. Castiel & wee!Dean. This is adorable! wee!Dean and Castiel! I so grinned the whole time reading this.
astolat wrote
- Binding. NC-17. Dean/Sam. I love the imagery in this. It's probably the thing I enjoyed most about this fic, I could see the scenes so clearly and it was just so great. And what an ending!
- Under Hill. R. Sam/Dean. This is the coolest idea for getting two people together. Take away memories that might get in the way of their getting together, make them realize they have feelings, and then give the memories back. But, what happens then?
- Unasked. R. Dean/Sam. Sequel to It Doesn't Mean You Can Explain The Ocean. This couldn't have been more perfect, and the illustration at the bottom very much works. Sad and beautiful story.
- Vegas. NC-17. Sam/Dean. oy! And mind-melting sex. I love how Astolat managed to get them together without writing a really long fic to explain it.
beatperfume wrote Spark. NC-17. Dean/Sam. Something happened that caused John to give up Sam and Dean. John managed to kill the demon - and though he meant to return and get his kids back, he died with the demon, leaving Sam and Dean in separate foster homes that they both ran away from. They meet several years later, not knowing their past connection.
belyste wrote Two Queens. R. Sam/Dean. Funny, engaging, amusing, briefly angsty, silly, sweet... It's not often I read a fic and think perfection, but this one fits the bill.
bellatemple wrote Dimensions and Verticals. PG-13. Sam, Dean, Bobby. The creator describes this as a Multimedia crack fic. Didn't you have one of those on your holiday gift wish list.
briarwood wrote Reap the Whirlwind. M. Dean/Jo, Sam/Jess. This is a novel-length fic set in an America where children with psychic powers are isolated in special facilities for the safety of the rest of the world. I love the world building in this, the way that Sam and Dean make a great team even when they've been raised apart, and the story itself is fascinating.
britomart_is wrote We Were Breathing Fogs in the Cold Night Air. G. Dean. As the author put it, this is not a happy fic. It's short. It's real. It makes you want to cover the boys with fuzzy blankets and feed them chicken soup forever.
causeways wrote Treat Her Like a Lady. R. Dean/Sam. Dean gets cursed into dating Sam. I just love fics like this, no matter how cliche!
cjmarlowe wrote
- This Foreign City. PG-13. Ellen, Jo. Focusing on Ellen as she loses her daughter and gains her back, it's a great rumination on the power of history, memory, and family, plus a realistic and engaging portrayal of a mother-daughter relationship.
- It Would Break This Heart of Mine. NC-17. Dean/Sam. I love what the author did with the 'silence' prompt. I even found the ending perfect, even though it wasn't the 'happy ending' I usually prefer.
copperbadge wrote The Ten Commandments Don't Apply To Angels. PG-13. Primarily Castiel with appearances by Sam and Dean, Castiel/ Dean. Copperbadge has only written one story for Supernatural and if you don't play in other fandoms, you may not know that he is a god in the pantheon of fanfiction writers. But even without his reputation, you have an original idea, organized concise format, it's betaed and well characterized. Another winner, Sam!
Crevan Fox wrote Be sure! Get tested for Demonic VD!. PG-13 or a light R. OFC, but not paired with any character. A really creepy (and oddly lyrical) look at what happens to people who survive demonic possession.
diamondback158 wrote All the Powers of the Thrones. PG-13. Castiel/Dean. Lovely piece! I liked the setting. I like how Castiel regretted telling Dean he could send him back to Hell, and then here comes the Hounds. Loved how that was taken care of, and how Dean was saved. Beautiful!
dotfic wrote
- Five Times the Harvelles and the Winchesters (Never) Hunted Together. PG. Sam, Dean, Ellen, Jo. It's what I would have loved for the series to be like. Or missing scenes we never got to see.
- That's Why a Duck. PG. John, Sam, Dean. Pre-series prank wars that is also quite touching and very insightful about the characters, especially John
ebolacrisis wrote Drive To Get Away. PG-13. Dean/Sam. I really like the characterization of Sam in this, and I really felt like I was immersed into the whole thing. At times, a sentence or emotion caught me really hard and I just ached.
entangled_now wrote Pie. PG-13. Dean/Castiel. Best pie fic ever! I loved every bit of this fic. ROFL, X-rated...pie fantasies indeed.
emerald_embers wrote Not A Question Of Deserving. NC-17. Castiel/Dean. I like the ideas in this fic. Also, it always amazes me that Cas/Dean fics with sexual situations almost always manage to be spiritual in some way. *grin* So not complaining, here.
estrella30 wrote a little superstitious now. NC-17. Dean/Sam. Sexy. If switching bodies where possible, this is how it would happen.
feldspar2 wrote
- The First Taste Is Free. NC-17. Dean/Castiel. Perfect last line. I love how Castiel sees Dean's anger. The anger is almost tangible, and, and pretty. Oh, Dean.
- Fraidy In White. PG-13. Castiel/OFC/Dean. Definitely not what I was expecting, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless (or maybe because of it). The ending totally speaks of UST for Dean and Castiel.
fledmusic wrote Twitterpated. PG. Castiel/Dean, Sam. Oh god! Sam caught in between oblivious Dean and Castiel. XDD I love that Castiel got addicted to the 'net and shares his findings with Sam and Dean! Especially when Castiel references something that's sort of an 'in joke' between Dean and Cas. Lovely!
gigglingkat wrote Summer Camp. G. Sam, Dean, John. John attempts to instill some normalcy in his son's life, sending 7-year-old Dean to summer camp, thus separating him from 3-year-old Sam. Hilarious (yet sometimes touching) antics ensue.
girl_wonder wrote Dead Soldiers: An Oral History of the End Times. R. Ensemble + OCs. Not only is this a brilliantly written story, it accurately reflects how bias and point-of-view affects written history. The multiple points of view are so accurate, sometimes frighteningly so.
hateable wrote this circus we’re in. R. Jo/Ruby. This is an absolutely gorgeous and heart-achey example of why there should be more Supernatural femslash. The characterizations are spot-on, and the fic hits all the right notes in what is ultimately a doomed and damaged pairing. Just stunning.
ibroketuesday wrote Castiel is addicted to texting Dean [1] [2]. PG. Castiel, Dean, maybe Cas/Dean. I love this! So frickin' hilarious. Castiel is just so...awesome! XD
inlovewithnight wrote
- Still I See Monsters. PG. Sam, Dean, Castiel, OC. Told from an outsider's POV about the loss and sacrifice Castiel has made to avert the apocalypse. Tragic and beautiful.
- Chosen. PG-13. Castiel. A slightly eerie and gorgeous piece about Castiel choosing his host.
jargonelle wrote Three Shots Fired . PG-13. Jo Harvelle. Because I can never get enough awesome Supernatural femslash.
joosetta wrote Hiding in Plain Sight. NC-17. Dean/Sam. The first thought I had after reading this was that, it has such a simple plot, but there's so much packed in here in such a way that it seems more intricate than it is. Perfect ending!
kroki_refur wrote But For the Grace. PG-13. Dean, Sam. It's a known fact that Dean and Sam are interdependent, sometimes dysfunctionally so. This story isn't only a wonderful depiction of a world without Dean, it's also a great adventure/mystery; one that can easily be an actual SPN episode.
ladyjaida wrote People Livin' In Competition. R. Sam/Dean. I love this idea, it's just like in the show where they were mistaken for gay lovers, but this fic just keeps it going. I love how Dean tries to back out but Sam's not having it.
laceymcbain wrote A Rain of Feathers. NC-17. Castiel/Dean. Sex pollen Angel!Porn with a plot. No, seriously. I would definitely have to say that this fic goes in my top five Castiel/Dean favorites. And my 'to reread' list!
lazy_daze wrote I Wanna Hold You 'Til I Die. NC-17. Sam/Dean. A little incident leaves Dean cursed. Nothing seemed to have happened at first, until Dean suddenly becomes... clingy. There are a couple of really great lines in this fic, and I felt so happy after reading this.
leonidaslion wrote Waterstains. NC-17. Sam/Dean. Dean Winchester found his calling in a rundown church in Idaho when he was thirteen and never looked back. Of course, he's never met anyone like this before either... I really admire the author for pulling this idea off so well. I loved Dean and Sam in this, even until the brilliantly pulled off end.
liselisa wrote Castiel learns to swear. PG-13. Castiel, Dean. This is frickin' hilarious! And something you'd never get to see on TV because of the amount of, well, swearing. XP
little_murmurs wrote Hey, Little Sister, Keep on Dreamin' . PG-13. Jo Harvelle. For everyone who loves Jo, especially after 5.09: "Abandon All Hope."
lizadork wrote Cross In the Sky . PG-13. Sam, Dean. A gorgeously worded story about what happens Sam and Dean do after they win the war against the bad guys.
loolookitty wrote Your Hands Remake Me. NC-17. Dean/Sam. I like how the fourth part to this nicely sums up their relationship. Sam doesn’t know what the future holds, but like Dean said, they’re better together. The description is nice. The two are so DeanandSam in this! Makes you want them to be together forever, but also makes you glad at all the shit they go through in the future because it only makes them grow and brings them closer together.
luzdeestrellas wrote Some Answer to This Fire. R. Sam/Dean. The aftermath of "Born Under a Bad Sign". The boys take care of each other. Beautiful, gorgeous, amazing piece.
lyra_wing wrote Skinning Schrodinger's Cat. NC-17. Sam/Dean. Takes place in an alternate universe in which Sam never went to college. There is time travel! Also, it's sexy.
malcolm_stjay wrote Sub Rosa. Dean/Sam. PG-13. Beauty and the Beast retold. I don't think I've ever read anything quite like this (especially for Supernatural)!
may7fic wrote Family, Faith & Certitude . PG-13. Bobby, Dean, Sam, John. The fic is awesome because it is a fabulous look into John caring about and for his boys after Dean has been hurt. Told from Bobby’s POv and it weaves the past and up to season 2.22 beautifully.
melawen_c wrote melawen_c. PG. Castiel/Dean pre-slash. This fic has a couple of great moments - one of my favorites is when Castiel tells Dean that he learned the fighting move from him. Gold!
memphis86 wrote A Priori. NC-17. Dean/Sam. This is a truly unique amnesia fic, and so heartbreaking when you find out how things came to be the way they are. Beautiful ending, heart-wrenching epilogue. Absolutely worth a read or more.
meyermelon wrote
- And find for herself a place of rest. PG-13 - non con warning. Lilith. I never really cared for the character Lilith in the show until I read this fic, now not only is this fic my personal canon, but Lilith is one of my favourites.
- The Plain of Lethe. PG-13. Sam, Dean. It's like the 50 first dates for Dean Winchester. His father just died and he and Sam have been fighting demons for a year but every morning he's still shocked to find out Sam dropped out of college. I may be explainging this horribly, but it's very sad, and bleak, in that oh so delicious angsty way.
- Nighthawks. R - underage sex and abortion warning. Dean/OFCs. oFr a woman who supposedly doesn't watch the show all that often, but damn she writes a good Dean. It's him, his voice, and his words, and his world view to a tee. People who had Dean's upbringing don't end up as happy people.
nataliadarimin wrote What Would an Angel Say? (The Devil Wants to Know). NC-17. Castiel/Dean. Nnn, guh! This fic is just gorgeous. Every line. And yet...gods, it's painful as well. Can't have pleasure without that pain, eh.
norah wrote Ink. NC-17. Dean/Sam. Tattoo kink! Really well done, and it was awesome when Dean finally found out.
rageprufrock wrote It Doesn't Mean You Can Explain The Ocean. R. one-sided Sam/Dean. I don't normally read one-sided stories - but this is just...absolutely breathtaking.
rejeneration wrote Never Be. NC-17. Sam/Dean. Alternative version of season 2 episode 20, What Is and What Should Never Be. Sam & Dean domestic fic.
rhymephile wrote Promises, Promises. PG. Oh, this is beautiful! I like this style of writing, it's quite enjoyable to read. I'm glad the author went this route with the idea, even though p0rn would have been totally hot.
rosivan wrote Dean/Cas IMs on Sam's Laptop [1] [2]. PG. v. ADORABLE! I love the use of the smilies, so fitting, seriously! I love how, despite this being an IM chat fic, their voices come out so clearly, and it's so enjoyable to read.
rushlight75 wrote Virgin Sacrifice. NC-17. Dean/Sam. 'Stupid pervy-ass Aztec priests'... This was Rushlight's first Supernatural fic... but you can't tell at all. It has a perfect plot device, and the realization of Dean and Sam's feelings feel so natural when it happens. The end was too perfect. :)
savingfaith333 wrote On a Wing and a Prayer. PG-13. Castiel/Dean. Seriously amazing. I just loved Dean in this, and Castiel, and the ending. It packs a lot into a oneshot, and the ending was love.
scribblinlenore wrote
- Come on, baby, let me know. NC-17. Sam/Dean. I love stories that have a great plot that leads to sex. ;) I also love stories where they get to make out out a few times, letting the tension build up.
- Factum Amoris. NC-17. Dean/Sam. The thing with Dean in this is really surprising and hard to imagine, but this fic makes me believe it. The list of sex acts cracked me up!
seraphwings wrote
- Laying of Hands. NC-17. Castiel/Dean. I loved this fic because it was a bit like reading older Supernatural fic. Only with Castiel there as well. Like one of the commenters said, I loved grumbly Dean and quietly determined Castiel. :)
- Bedside Manners. PG. Castiel/Dean. I liked that this fic felt like reading Dean and Sam pre-Hell, and that Castiel didn't take away from that. I loved their interaction. I really adored the comparison of Dean to a revolver. Really clear imagery there.
sevenfists wrote Life As We Know It. NC-17. Dean/Sam. In six months, Dean and Sam fall in love. This fic is just beautiful.
shallowz wrote First Time Dean Met Sam . PG-13. John, Mary, Dean, Sam. The fic is awesome because it has John, Mary and Dean preparing for baby Sammy. It is a cute look at the family before the tragedy which befalls them when Sammy is six months old. Shallowz’s story is one of my favorite pre-series stories ever.
stangerine88 wrote You're The Last To Ask (For Help). R. Sam/Dean. I love the idea of this. I mean, it's so simple and even cliche, but it's pulled off perfectly here. I love how the author wrote and developed the new power, and how Sam kept it from Dean until he couldn't anymore. It's so them.
__tiana__ wrote Into A Full and Clear Light. R. Sam/Dean. I adore one of the themes in this fic - Dean learning to cook. Hehe, so much love, especially his looking to Sam for approval. That was probably my favorite part of the fic. The warmth, silliness and domestic feeling of it. The 'bad guy' in this plot is just awesome and wonderful and... Yeah, I think you get it. But best of all, it was a happy ending.
tolakasa wrote Living Expenses. Teen. Sam. Winchester stubbornness is legendary. This story depicts Sam's jaw-clenching determination to get through college on his own and also features his family's equally dysfunctional determination to help him without actually helping him.
tracy_loo_who wrote Not All the Way Through. NC-17. Dean/Casiel. Tells about all that happens between the present and the futureverse in "The End," with gorgeous portrayals of what Cas goes through losing both his power and his relationship with Dean.
virtualpersonal &
cha wrote Forced Entry. NC-17. Sam/Dean. I'm so amazed by this fic! The authors have created a world that's so easy to fall in love with. This is why I love AU's.
WastelandRose wrote The Young and the Restless . M. Sam, Dean & Bobby. A spell makes Dean get younger - Sam sees what it's like to be the big brother. Funny, sweet, moving.
wendyr wrote Every Angel Is Terrifying. PG. Castiel/Dean. I adore the description in this, just perfect. I also love the ending bit.
thenyxie wrote Stranger than Fiction. M. Sam/Dean. They discover fanfiction based on Chuck's books and are inspired to act on them. Hilariously funny, but then it turns amazingly hot.
ygrawn wrote There Is No Such Place. PG. Sam, Dean. Wonderfully Sam and Dean voices, describing their lifestyle, their own version of normal. It's poignant without being saccharine.
zooeyrye wrote Twist. PG-13. Castiel/Dean. Gorgeous little fic. I can feel Dean's anger, frustration and sadness so much in this. I loved Castiel's part in this, it's like everything washed away for Dean.

ART
cugami made Hello, Dean. PG. Dean, Castiel. Vivid and glorious artist's rendition of the resurrection of Dean Winchester.
MULTIMEDIA
cjmarlowe(writer) &
tammylee(artist) made Metaphysical. R . Dean, Sam. This is a steampunk reimagining of Supernatural season one set in the 1905 America. First click for the art. Dean in a flyboy jacket and Sam in a frock coat! Tessa, Dean's car! Then, pleas
