Feeling Fannish

I'm actually running out the door to work tonight (blah for late closing! yay for money!), but I'll be back before too late tonight and around online. I want to play some memes and I want to get some writing done.

So, I figure it's time for me to be nosy again!

What's everyone working on? And what are you most looking forward to? Both questions should be taken fannishly. :)

I'm working on my fic for reel_torchwood (to the prompt Trainspotting) which is one of those stories which is either really good or really not good at all (or, it's alright but no one will get it). It's basically done but I'm going to ask for an extension just so I can worry about all that for a little bit longer. And I'm working on my lgbtfest fic, which is X-men movieverse, and I need to do loads of research, and a big epic plotty Enterprise fic which is epic and plotty and my favourite thing to write at the moment.

Looking forwardwise - I need something to look forward to. I feel a bit fandomless at the moment. I've always been pretty multifandom, so I'm still following some old favourites, but missing that feeling of having something really new and shiny and exciting.

Oh, geez, good question. Unfortunately the fics I have in progress are ones I can't really talk about because -- Remix! and possibly for someone's birthday but I may not finish!

But, yeah, that's keeping me busy. I'm also tentatively writing an essay that involves Mary Sues & the Kobayashi Maru (these are related!) which compels me to re-watch The Wrath of Khan. And I'm on a "sci-fi TV" panel at WisCon which has made me want to cram on Dr Who and at least some of Torchwood before the panel, so I'll know what I'm talking about!

I'm attempting to get my <lj user="reel_merlin" draft done in time :) Merlin S2 starts on TV here tomorrow - although I've downloaded it months back, I'm dying to see it on the big screen! Also the new Dr is on next week! *dances*

I finally have time again after a difficult last few RL weeks. I had to drop out of merry_marvels way late after three unworkable drafts and yeah. Ugh.

But, now I'm working on finishing my comicsbigbang, then I'll focus on my Remix assignment (I know what story I'm doing, I just haven't started yet.), then I'll finish up my lgbtfest story (halfway through the first draft). So, fannishly busy="Yay"!

I'm most looking forward to actually watching my shows (Smallville, Doctor Who) because I've been holding them out as incentive.

Besides the non-fandom stuff you know about, I'm working on my Remix fic and looking forward to reading Remix stories. I'm also looking forward to moving; even though it's nowhere near time to apartment hunt, I keep looking.
