Top five villains who you really wanted to win. Great question. I had to really think on some of these!
1. Yagami Light from Death Note. Sociopathic delusional demi-gods for the win!
2. Jin Kariya from Bleach. I actually had a lot of problems with this arc and Kariya embodied the political position I most identify with.
3. The Wicked Witch of the West from Wizard of Oz. I blame Wicked. I wonder what her motivations are.
4. Verbal Kint (Keyser Soze) - The Usual Suspects
5. Dracula - Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Top 5 favorite books (Ugh. How hard is this?! These are some of them from the moment.)
1. Currently, anything by Lisa Shearin. She writes a fantasy series that is filled with amazing awesomeness. Magic Lost, Trouble Found is the first.
2. Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. My introduction to a lifelong love affair with Russian literature.
3. Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I know how problematic this is, but the fact remains that I stayed awake all night and read this because I could not put it down.
4. The Pact by Jodi Piccoult. I've never read anything like it in my entire life until then and it absolutely destroyed me.
5. Watership Down by Richard Adams. I loved this story as a child and I find that I can always be drawn back into the heartfelt adventures and suspend all disbelief for this book and these characters.

Top Five Burn Notice scenes.
There are way too many scenes that I loved. These are the ones that leap to mind first!
1. "Guns make you stupid. Duct tape. Duct tape makes you smart." - I was forever hooked!
2. When Fiona (finally!) shoots Carla!
3. The finale of season one, when Michael rescues Sam and Sam, still tied to the chair, scooches over to slam the metal door on that guy's head.
4. The episode where Michael pretends to be a Russian mobster and needs to give away the appearance of being injured and Nate hauls off and punches him in the face for fun.
5. Michael and Madeleine's aborted attempt at therapy. It was awesomely awful and funnily tragic. It broke my heart, but it fit them.
6. (Cheating with an extra) When Michael teaches that kid to fight off the bullies by explaining warzone politics and then borrows the FBI's binoculars to watch him do it.

Date: 2010-08-17 01:39 am (UTC)Michael is playing an asthmatic dork who hates dangerous situations because they "make my chest hurt!!" He's hobbling and hunched-back and scurrying around. Then when Chuck Finley ("If the devil had a name, it'd be CHUCK FINLEY!!") came attacking and the bad guys realized the trick, and they turned around to see Michael, in slow motion, walking away from an exploding truck and casually tossing away his inhaler?
Good lord, that was awesome. :D
Also the scene where Michael was "the Devil" and could make things explode by snapping his fingers. ;-D
