A few Iron Man recs to really round out my day. Since I failed, utterly, at going to the work happy hour, I figured I'd do something else that involved drinking. And Tony does plenty of that. :)

Money, Money, Money by gixi. NC-17. Really, the summary says it all for this one. Tony Stark wants Bruce Wayne because no one else is getting him. Tony/Bruce. This is an interesting piece based on the premise that Tony doesn't know Bruce's secret. It's fun, and amusing, and intense.


Being of Sound Mind & No Body by hackthis. PG-13. Because, Jarvis is more than a machine. He's Tony's friend, and as odd as that is, it's also true. How far will Tony go to help Jarvis understand what it's like to be human? With all the associated perks, included, even.


How Tony Possibly Met Pepper by cruelest_month. PG. This fic is seriously made of win, because it features Pepper, who is the definition of Made of Win. Tony needs an assistant who can do more than keep up with Stark Industries. He needs someone who can keep up with him. Also, Tony hates interviews.


Dust and Dirt and Bones by lovethesnark. R. This is an amazing fic that utilizes Happy Hogan. It also explores Tony's reaction to Obidiah's betrayal and compares Tony's relationship to Obidiah with Tony's relationship to his own father. Beautifully done.

Warnings: Very mild slash.
Summary: Tony Stark was not used to having to try to seduce someone. Usually, his good looks, charm, reputation and money took care of the preliminaries. The problem this time was that the object of his affection had equal amounts of all the same charms.

Why this must be read: Because the premise was so unusual that it caught my eye.

Because I've never seen a single episode of Ugly Betty, but I still was able to follow along this crossover without any problems. (I was passingly familiar with the idea that Betty is socially awkward. That's about all you really need to know.)

Because the two worlds are blended together so beautifully that you'll start to believe this is cannon.

Because Betty is funny and sweet and Bruce is Bruce.

Because you'll find yourself cheering them on and because the premise is so unbelievably belivable.

This fic is great. I really can't do it justice here. Go. Read. See for yourself.
